NAMSAI, Feb 26: At least 250 local handloom weavers and handicraft artisans  participated in the daylong ‘ Hastkala Sahyog Shivir” organized by the Development Commissioner of Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India here at Namsai.

The objective of the workshop was to create awareness about the various schemes under Ministry of Textiles for sustainable development of handicraft sector.

Earlier the workshop was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Namsai, RK Sharma in presence of the Assistant Director Textile & Handloom, Namsai  Jhumsor Rime and other officials and representatives from CBI and ICICI banks.
