YUPIA, Mar 8: The live broadcast on "Swachh Shakti” addressed by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the nation was screened to officials and staff of DC office, Yupia to commemorate the auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day.

Deputy Commissioner Tai Kaye, who was supervising the program, congratulated the gathering of women and girl students on the occasion and exhorted the womenfolk to be proactive and to become role models.

Speaking on the changing outlook of society towards role of women in different fields, DC said that we cannot change the past but we must learnt from it by creating more awareness on rights and role of women in society. He also requested the gatherings to spread the PM message of Swachh Bharat Mission in their villages and among family and friends to keep their surroundings clean and beautiful.

Arrangement for screening the live broadcast was done as per direction of Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India.
