Indian Army constructs homestay in remote border village
YINGKIONG, Jan 21:Minister (RD, PR & Cooperation), Alo Libang, Deputy Commissioner, Upper Siang District Duly Kamduk along with Head of Offices & PRI leaders visited Singa and other remote villages on a weeklong tour programme which concluded on Saturday.
The team interacted and held meetings with the local villagers of Rishing, Zido, Ngaming, Kugging, Nyering, Nyukong, Payindem, Yortung, Mankota, Tashigong, Simuge, Singa and Tuting.
The Minister announced several developmental packages related to road connectivity, drinking water, electricity, infrastructure, agri-horti and health etc. The team also inspected schools and health centres alongwith ongoing and completed schemes of various departments.
After conclusion of tour, Libang alongwith MLA, Tawang, Tsering Tashi attended Losar celebration of Buddhist communities residing at Tuting Sub- Division.
