ITANAGAR, Mar 13:The All Arunachal Pradesh Hawkers & Street Vendors Federation has expressed their resentment over non-inclusion ‘Jan Bhagidaari’ scheme in the budget despite taking suggestion from the stakeholders.
In spite of the proposal submitted for consideration of the state government it failed to reflect in the state budget. This shows the indifference of the government towards the street vendors of the state, the federation said in a release.
Meanwhile, it has apprised the government for adopting the ‘Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulations of Street Vending) Act 2014 to be implemented in the state.
We would like to extend our thanks to Minister Town Planning and ULB etc, Nabam Rebia for introducing this bill in the house, the release further read.
