ITANAGAR, May 2:The All Arunachal Pradesh Border Students Union has urged the government to immediately advertise the 977 posts of 3rd batch of AAPBN approved in a cabinet meeting in the year 2010 and 112 post of special tiger protection force (STPF)  under the Arunachal Pradesh Forest & Special Tigers Protection Force Act also cleared by the Cabinet in March 2013.

Highlighting various problems pertaining to the Wildlife sanctuary at Seijosa , the ALPBSU informed that many people of the neighbouring states illegally enter into the protected sanctuary and engage  in illegal activities like logging, poaching etc.

The union asserted that deploying sufficient STPF forces would prove helpful in checking poaching, convicting wildlife criminals, mass deforestation by outsiders.

Highlighting the plight of the people living in border areas, the AAPBSU has urged the government to post adequate teachers and provide sufficient funds for restoration of various non-functional hostels and deploy team to inspect the illegal encroachment of public properties as well to check illegal encroachment by outsiders.

Informing that in the year 2014-15 the state government had granted a sum of 2 crore for procurement and up gradation of laboratory equipment for entire schools under revised estimate scheme for Tirap ,Changlang and Longding districts, the AAPBSU alleged that  the students of the three districts has not received lab accessories and equipment and demanded the government to constitute a SIT team to inquiry into the whole episode.  

Immediate cancellation of NEC road work under Seijosa to Pakke Kessang(62km), immediate posting of Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police at newly created Lower Siang district etc were among their demands.
