ITANAGAR, Jan 23:Governor BD Mishra in his continuing mission of ‘Clean Itanagar’ along with officers and officials of Raj Bhavan, Itanagar participated in the cleanliness drive at Lower Niti Vihar, Itanagar today.
Interacting with residents, the Governor appealed them to participate in the drive and make it their habit to keep the surroundings clean. He advised the Ward Councillors to send the message that the senior residents should also teach their children to be part of the mission of the cleaning of Itanagar.
The Governor also advised the proprietors of business houses to keep their premises clean and tidy. He emphasised on waste disposal and installing of dustbins in front of the shops and housing complexes.
Secretary GA Azimul Haque and Inspector General of Police Nabin Payeng along with ladies from Dia Dasa Self Help Group, officials and workers of Itanagar Municipal Council led by its ward councillor Donik Tayu and other volunteers enthusiastically participated in the day’s cleanliness drive
