PASIGHAT, Feb 15: The Department of Town Planning & Urban Local Bodies conducted a meeting today at the DC’s conference hall on preparation of GIS-based Master Plan for Pasighat Planning Area. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak and members from Pasighat Planning Authority, Consultant All India Institute of Local Self Government, New Delhi and several Head of the Departments took part.

DC Tatak asked the members to participate and support the Master Plan preparation process and co-ordinate with stakeholders for quality proposal. He further requested consultant to develop proposal on the basis of physiography and actual ground conditions of the region.

Earlier, Smart city CEO Amoy Morang briefed about legal procedure of constituting LPA committee, approval and publishing process for master plan and requested consultant to develop proposal in conformity with smart city proposal of Pasighat.

Municipal Executive Officer (MEO) Ainstein Koyu, shared his valuable inputs for a meaningful Master Plan preparation and urged upon the Members of Local Planning Authority (LPA) to extend the limit of LPA boundary considering the growth of the town from a perspective of 25 years.

Assistant Town Planner (ATP),Tani Taloh, briefed about the provisions of Arunachal Pradesh Urban & Country Planning Act 2007 and informed that Local Planning Authority (LPA) of Pasighat has already been constituted but Pasighat Planning Area has to be declared and notified.

Consultant All India Institute of Local Self Government gave presentation on Master Plan preparation process explained theAnchor need, objectives, methodology of master plan and interacted with all the HODs to develop initial approach for the Master Plan of Pasighat Town.
