NAMSAI, Jan 5:
A meeting to review geographical information system (GIS) based master plan for Namsai planning area was conducted on Monday by the Department of Town Planning & Urban Local Bodies branch, at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, RK Sharma briefed about the purpose of the meeting and importance of town planning and master plan for towns. He urged all the participants to bring in meaningful inputs in the GIS-based master plan and sought active participation of all the members in the discussion.
Assistant Town Planner, Siyang Rebe elaborated the provisions of Arunachal Pradesh Urban & Country Planning Act 2007 and informed that Local Planning Authority (LPA) of Namsai has been constituted but planning areas has to be declared and notified.
Present in the meeting, Consultant All India Institute of Local Self Government through a power point presentation showed its master plan preparation, needs and objectives etc. Various resolution were adopted that will be included this year by the DA in the master plan.
Members from Namsai Planning Authority, Consultant All India Institute of Local Self Government, New Delhi and several HoDs participated.
