ITANAGAR, Feb 6:
In a major political development, several prominent political leaders including former Home Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Takar Marde joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today.
Former District Food and Civil Supply officer, Dana Takio, President, All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation, Dobing Sonam Leyak, former President, All Papum Pare District Students Union Techi Naka and Jiter Bui Public Leader from Upper Subansiri also joined today.
Welcoming the new members to the party fold, State President Tapir Gao advised them to work hard for the party and create their own reputation. Asserting that the BJP is a party with a difference which values experience, competency and performance, he told them to be ready to take up responsibility.
Former State President & Chairman of State Disciplinary Action Committee, Tapen Siga in his speech dwelt on the ideology and work culture of the party. He also spoke about party discipline and emphasized the new members to maintain discipline at all times.
The joining programme was attended by State Vice President, Adv. Dominic Tadar, State General Secretary Jarpum Gamlin, Senior leaders and party karyakartas.
