ITANAGAR, Jan 11:  Director General of Police, Sandeep Goel today handed over a cheque amounting rupees Fifty Lakhs to Nada Asha, wife of Constable Late Nada Umbing.

Late Umbing, an IRBn Jawan was on board the Indian Air Force chopper including three crew members which crashed on July 5, 2017   while evacuating people stranded in Sagalee and Dambuk following rain-triggered massive landslides.

All Nada Welfare Society, Capital Complex president and secretary who were also present appreciated the Chief Minister and the state government especially the Department of Home for the ex gratia payment and for the positive nod for compassionate appointment of late Umbing's wife in government service.
