PASIGHAT, Apr 30: In view of the South West Monsoon hitting  soon, East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, took stock of the monsoon preparedness of all departments today during a disaster preparedness meeting. He asked for timely submission of department wise emergency  plan so that District Disaster Management Plan (DDMP) of the district can be updated for prevention and timely mitigation. 
One of the main concerns of water logging and flooding during monsoon season was also taken up and discussed thoroughly, wherein the DC asked the UD department and concerned agency to clear up stagnant and waterlogged city drainages of Pasighat city to prevent flooding and spread of waterborne and vector-borne diseases during monsoon season and for daily water level monitoring with increasing rainfall.
Availability of essential medicines, food stock, relief shelters, emergency plan of essential services and manpower etc., were also reviewed during the meeting on monsoon disaster preparedness. DC also asked WRD department for daily water level monitoring of Siang River and timely sharing of hydrological data and daily flood report of the district and coordination with CWC. He also stressed on coordination & support of BRO, Army, Paramilitary and other stakeholders. 
DDMO  T. Tashi earlier briefed on the roles of  Nodal Officers of respective departments under DDMA under the Command of DC as Responsible Officer, Incident Commander ADC (Hq) and Safety Officer SP.
The meeting was attended by ADC (Hq) Tatling Pertin, ASP Pankaj Lamba, Joint DHS Dr. T. Tali, representatives from Army, BRO , CRPF, Admin officers, HoOs and HoDs attended.
