ITANAGAR, Nov 23: The interview for the Prime Minister Employment Generation Scheme was conducted today in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex presided over by the Chairman Prince Dhawan, ADC Talom Dupak and other members of the District Level Screening Committee etc. After the interview, 25 applicants were selected as beneficiaries for the year 2017-18. Result is available at itanagar capital website http://itanagar.nic.in and also at DC capital Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/DCItanagar/.

The DC has directed the lead bank manager to ensure early disbursement of loan to selected beneficiaries. Further as there are still 20 more vacant slots for rural areas within Itanagar Capital Complex, hence the DC appealed youths residing in rural areas within ICC to apply under PMEGP.

 Objective of PMEGP is to generate employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas of the country through setting up of new self-employment ventures/projects/micro enterprises, to bring together widely dispersed traditional artisans/ rural and urban unemployed youth and give them self-employment opportunities to the extent possible, at their place, Further scheme also aims to provide continuous and sustainable employment to a large segment of traditional and prospective artisans and rural and urban unemployed youth in the country, so as to help arrest migration of rural youth to urban areas.
