TEZU, Mar 19: The only Difu Bridge being left to build by BCC 1446 Dimbe of 48 BRTF near Bhismaknagar in Lower Dibang Valley is expected to be completed by this June end and will connect Lower Dibang Valley and Lohit.

“The bridge has approximately 470 meters span in length with 6 (six) well foundation pillars of which four are already complete. Work at the site is in full force. We are building approach road of the other bank and two slabs is in full swing. Bridging the gap of two districts is a matter of three months only,” said BD Jangede Officer – in – Charge 1446 BCC.

The TAH road has drastically reduced the distance between the districts to 65 Km from an earlier 90 Km bumpy ride and now takes 45 minutes to reach the respective headquarters (Tezu – Roing). The commuters from both sides would heave a sigh of relief if the bridge is completed soon to use the road even during peak monsoon.

Meanwhile, Digaru, Balijan major bridges in Lohit and Inju, Simari in Lower Dibang Valley and several others have already been made all weather roads by the versatile 48 BRTF Dimbe.
