ITANAGAR, Mar 6:  Taking strong exception on to the state government’s statement calling the allegations in ‘Mere Vichar’ allegedly written by former Chief Minister Late Kalikho Pul as ‘baseless and without iota of truth’, today his widow Dangwimsai Pul urged the state government to registered the FIR duly filed by the three wives and launch investigation of the same to get to the fact of the matter.

Addressing reporters at press club today, Dangwimsai denied any political motive but said that she wants justice for her late husband. ‘Whoever is the Chief Minister, I have no issue but there should be free and fair investigation,’ she added while alleging that the state’s leaders have refused to speak a word in support of conferring justice to the former CM and even the Raj Bhawan is yet to respond to the representation submitted earlier in February.

‘MoS Home, Kiren Rijiju being in charge of an important portfolio stalled my plan to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whereas Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal graciously met me and assured full support for the cause,’ she claimed.

Disclosing reasons behind withdrawing the letter submitted to the Chief Justice of India, Dangwimsai said the letter was only a request to CJI to pass an administrative order for independent enquiry and FIR against the names mentioned in the notes. ‘But to my utter surprise CJI has directed the letter to be converted into a writ petition and listed it before a bench that too within a few days. Moreover, I was informed telephonically on the night of February 22 last, just a day before the hearing.  So anticipating dismissal of the case, my lawyer suggested to withdraw the letter so that we could keep the case alive,’ she added.

‘The recent episode in the SC has proved how people influence the judiciary,’ she alleged and informed that the doors are still open for her.

‘There should be free and fair investigation so that my father can get justice,’ said eldest son, Ojingso Pul. He also appealed the apex student body AAPSU, NGOs and other CBOs to support the cause.
