ROING, Jan 25:The Lower Dibang Valley administration convened an emergency meeting to discuss and chalk out detailed course of action which was necessitated following the huge number of tourist inflow and the increasing number of road accidents occurring at Mayudia.
The recent road accident in which seven youth from Assam lost their lives on January 24 was also discussed. The district administration has pressed into action man and machinery to retrieve the bodies but the operation is being hampered by the inclement weather. The Circle Officer ( Desali) Hage Atho is constantly monitoring the operation along with the district police.
In the meeting with administrative officers, Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom decided that a comprehensive policy would be formulated to regulate the flow of traffic and tourist in the district. An executive order to the effect would be issued shortly for all to follow strictly. It is expected that the directives formulated would help in mitigating any kind of eventuality.
