ZIRO, Nov 19: A Tanw Lemba Bicycle expedition for legal awareness was organised on Saturday as part of the Legal Day celebrations at Ziro by Ngunu Ziro, an NGO in collaboration with the District Legal Service Authority. 

Secretary, Legal Service Authority, Budhi Habung flagged off the cycle expedition in the presence of CJM, Ziro, Tageng Padoh and DMO Dr.Tage Kano. 

The cycle expedition with the motto to educate and spread awareness on the provisions for free legal aids to all citizens covered the entire Ziro-Hapoli township. Around 80 participants that included students, lawyers and police personnel participated in the expedition. 

The District Legal Service Authority, Lower Subansiri District also organised series of awareness programs to mark the Legal Service day celebrations. 

Door to door campaigns across length and breadth of Ziro-Hapoli township, awareness programs at Gyati Takka General Hospital, jail, schools and special awareness programs for gaon buras and buris were part of the campaign from November 9-18.
