ITANAGAR, Apr 16:In a simple ceremony at the State BJP Headquarters, four prominent Arunachal Pradesh Congress Mahila Committee (APCMC) members joined BJP today in presence of State BJP President Tapir Gao. Kamala Linggi, State President, Techi Dumsap, State Vice President, Sang Droima, State General Secretary and Martha Borang, State Secretary joined the BJP.

BJP state Vice President Dominic Tadar, gave the welcome address on the occasion and State Secretary Lelong Lingfa, conducted the programme.

While welcoming the new joinees, Gao stated that they are now members of BJP with equal rights and responsibilities like any other existing members. There will be no distinction between the members of the Party on the basis of length of association of the member in the Party, he said appealing the former Congress Mahila members to be pro-active and take initiative in promoting activities of the BJP in the State.

Speaking on the occasion, Kamala Linggi, stated that they were joining BJP from Congress because they are impressed by the development initiatives and leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu in the State and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi at the national level. She also further added that other reason for their joining BJP was because of dynamic leadership of BJP State President Tapir Gao under whom the party has flourished tremendously in the State.

On the same occasion two newly appointed Vice Presidents of BJP State Unit, LKYangfo and Kipa Babu were felicitated by the State President.

The function was attended by senior State Office Bearers, former Ministers, former MLAs, senior leaders, members of all the morchas and other karyakartas.
