PASIGHAT, Jan 30:  

Chum Darang on Monday was conferred the Green Evangelist award for her commendable work in conservation of environment and maintaining ecological balance by Dalmia Cement.

Darang, who has won numerous accolades in beauty pageants, runs a campaign on ‘Save River Siang’ which has won the hearts of the people of Arunachal, a press release said. The award was presented by Dalmia Bharat Cement during the launch of their special brand of cement called Dalmia DSP Cement at Itanagar today. The launch was held in the presence of dealers, architects and engineers from the state.
