ITANAGAR, Feb 18:In another addition to Arunachal’s splendid performances in sports, Higio Taarak won gold in the National Ju-Jitsu Championship 2018 that was held in Kochi, Kerala from February 1-4 last. Taarak was competing in the senior -56 category in No Gi.

The 2018 Nationals saw him in his best performance as he had earlier won Bronze in the 2017 National Ju-Jitsu Championship and Silver in 2016 National Grappling Championship.

Taarak trains under multiple time world champion Black Belt Ivan Tomasetti and multiple times national champion Purple Belt Siddhart Singh in New Delhi.
