Governor chairs high-level security review meeting

ITANAGAR, Dec 1: A three-day contemporary art exhibition embodying the theme “Art Inside” opened for public viewing here at PYBSS hotel, Itanagar, which was organized under the aegis of Arunachal Academy of Fine Arts (AAFA).
A variety of creative art pieces in visual form painted by a total of 13 locals’ artistes are on display at the exhibition.
Taya Vivek, Raju Pudur, Matu Mara, Kompi Riba, Kenjum Angu, Judi Bagang, Joon Dulom, Jompi Ete, Jene Hai, Jackie Bodo and Gyamar Nanam are the artistes showcasing their artworks.
Inaugurating the Exhibition, Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan lauded the artistes for their creative artworks and appreciated the AAFA for organizing the event.
Mesmerized with the talent on display, the DC encouraged the society to organise plays and promote theatre - something that is currently missing in the state. The plays could demonstrate local customs and traditions, he opined and assured to provide full support from District Administration for such initiatives.
He pointed that such exhibition will not only provide opportunity to artistes with creative potential, but will encourage them to take their creativity to the next level.
Hundreds thronged the venue to see the creative artworks on display. The exhibition was a success with every attendee praising the hard work of the artistes.
Arunachal Akademi of Fine Arts Society (AAFA) is an association established in the year 1994 and Registered in the year 1998. The society is currently being run by youths with an aim to preserve and develop the art and culture practised traditionally and incorporating the same with innovative ideas and to encourage others towards fine arts. The Exhibition will continue till December 3 next.
