ITANAGAR, Mar 30:  Claiming non response from the police and state government despite serving a week's ultimatum in the mysterious death case of  Under Secretary-APPSC Tumi Gangkak, the Galo Welfare Society  today announced a sit-in protest on April 1 next and also threatened to call capital bandh if the government fails to respond.
Speaking to the media  at the press club, General Secretary GWS Nyadar Loya claimed that despite repeated representations and serving seven days ultimatum on the Late Tumi Gangkak mysterious death case, authorities have failed to submit any concrete report. "We still believe that the death of the late Under Secretary is murder. If the government thinks that it is not 'murder' then they should release the report in public domain," he added.
Loya informed that the GWS will organize the sit-in protest at IG park on April 1 next followed by "mass leave" by Galo government employees serving in all the districts on April 10 next while adding that if government fails to respond, the Society may resort to a capital bandh.
“I appeal to every section of society, even the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) to lend support to GWS to confer justice to  Late Gangkak. There is no communal colour (to this), though he was from the Galo community but he was a government employee and citizen of this state, and the prime witness in the APPSC job scam and his murder was crafted and pre-planned," added GWS General Secretary.
