ITANAGAR, Nov 29:The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vehemently condemned the incident where 88 girl students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidayalaya , New Sagalee were made to undress allegedly by three women teachers.
Such heinous act by teachers will affect the development of students. Tampering with children’s dignity is against the law as well as against the constitution, it said in a release.
Stating that undressing students cannot be a corrective measure, the committee further said that imposing such punishment is a total violation of child rights and more likely to accelerate the risk of child abuse. It urged the concerned authority to investigate the matter and accordingly take appropriate action.
