AGARTALA, May 7 : Indian ruling party president Amit Shah claims to have seen a huge wind of change blowing in favour of his party in Tripura hardly a year before the assembly polls.

Shah, who is on a two day  visit to the Left-ruled north east Indian province of Tripura told his party men in the capital city of Agartala that the common people are fed up with the Manik Sarkar government where development is not in the agenda.

Despite immense potential, the Left Front government has not been able to give the common people a ray of hope forcing them to pin hopes on BJP which has no alternative, said the ruling party president who gave the party a fresh lease,  since he took  over the reins.

“What Amitjee  told us is eye opening indeed. I have not seen such a political leader whose strong vision has started paying dividends. We will win this time,” said Shanti Das, a local BJP leader in Agartala after hearing the  speech  of the party president on Sunday.

Dijen Nath, another BJP worker from Kumarghat told www.southasiaviews.com said that  his visit is a huge boost to the party’ spadework for the assembly polls early next year.

“I say Amitjee’s visit to  the state’s  pre poll political landscape is encouraging for us to stand united. This was what we wanted so long. Now we are confident of poll victory. We will form the next government,” said Nath who recently joined the party.

The party's national president visited the Ma Tripura Subdari’s temple  and left for Kumarghat to hold a huge rally in presence of a few central party leaders, local BJP leaders and West Bengal BJP president.

Talking to reporters after his arrival he said it won't be difficult for his party to dislodge the Manik Sarkar government where government jobs are staple source of livelihood, and opposition has hardly any role even after a number of scams  rocked the state.
