PASIGHAT, Nov 28: In an important meeting of Adi Mising Baane Kebang held on Saturday at Bakkul under Mebo Sub-Division, the Ali-Aye Ligang festival celebration of the Mising has been fixed in the month of February  next.

The meeting was attended by executive members of AMBK, other prominent personalities from both Adis and Misings from both Arunachal and Assam including Mebo MLA cum Advisor to Chief Minister, Lombo Tayeng and Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak.

According to sources from AMBK, the Mega Ali-Aye Ligang Cultural Festival will showcase the rich culture and tradition of both Adis and Misings.

The mega celebration will be held under the Patronship of Mebo MLA, Lombo Tayeng and the theme of the Ali-Aye Ligang Festival this time is ‘re-unite both the better half brothers’ while showcasing the rich cultural heritage while preserving it for posterity through continuous research and updating with change of time without losing the truth & originality, added AMBK sources.

President, Raju Medok, Secretary General, Okom Yosung led the AMBK meeting. In this connection, District Administration has issued a circular on Monday calling for a joint meeting of all stake holders on December 3 next to chalk out the detailed programme.
