ITANAGAR, Feb 25:Responding to the ultimatum submitted by Students' United Movement of All Arunachal-East Siang District (SUMAA-ESD) on February 9 last,  the District Administration ,East Siang, called an emergency meeting and constituted a core committee to look into the matter at the earliest.

SUMAA-ESD has demanded, extensive checking of ILP in all the entry points of East Siang, installation CCTVs and new check post at different strategic location of the district.

Besides Deputy Commissioner East Siang, the meeting was also attended by Superintendent of Police Prashant Gautam, ADC, Mebo. Sangita Yirang and others.

While, asserting the demands made by the student organization as genuine, DC assured to  send an approval  to the government for  installation of CCTV and new check post. He further advised them to look into the issues like drug trafficking and vehicle theft in the district.
