PASIGHAT, Aug 9: The Adi Mising Baane Kebang (AMBK) and Takam Mising Porin Kebang (TMPK) jointly reached out to the flood affected people of Laikang, Dodiya, Mohumora villages under Tinsukia and Dibrugarh district of Assam on Tuesday.
Informing about the relief distribution, AMBK Secretary General, Okom Yosung said that, total of 1200 houses with population of 4800 family members were distributed 58 quintals of rice including household items and cash amount of Rs. 60,000. Yosung also informed that, all out efforts are being taken from Adi-Mising communities to fight against such natural calamities.
The team of AMBK’s President cum EC MAC, Raju Medok, Okom Yosung, Mojit Pao, Naresh Kumbang President, TMPK, Talung Borang, Kepang Nong Borang, Isha Rani Kumbang, Achut Doley, Sansay Kumbang and Joyanto Bori from both Arunachal and Assam jointly carried out relief camps and helped the flood affected people.
The steps initiated by AMBK and TMPK are being lauded in both Arunachal and Assam as coming together of two lost brothers who are bonding together better with passage of time. The recent search operation of drowned JNV students jointly launched by AMBK and TMPK at Assam side has also received huge appreciation.
