ITANAGAR, Apr 16:Taking note of the delay in holding competitive exams by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has suggested for chalking out a calendar for all the consecutive exams.

It is the need of the hour for the Commission to visualize an appropriate calendar to conduct the exams so that the aspirants can prepare themselves throughout according to the schedules. Such calendar should be implemented for each year, the Union said in a release today.

Taking a dig at the unpredictable dates and delay in conducting the competitive exams, AAPSU has demanded immediate posting of Controller of Examinations in the APPSC claiming that the position is vacant.

The apex students’ body also sought immediate clarification from the Department of Education for delaying to fulfil the requisition format being sought by the APPSC for recruitment of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT).

The AAPSU has learned that the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) had written to the Secretary Education with memo no PSC(R)/03/2018 dated 27th February 2018 seeking requisition format from the Department of Education. Such requisition has not been submitted to the Commission which has delayed the recruitment process. The State Government had announced a package from recruitment TGTs and PGTs to fit to the demands of the teaching faculties in the schools, the release further stated.
