ITANAGAR, Mar 3:
The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) in solidarity with the agitating students of NERIST on Fridayin its central executive meeting held at central office NEFA Club Building, Itanagar has decided to enforce closing down of all higher educational institutions (all colleges and universities) in the state on March 5 next as its first phase of agitation.
This was confirmed Saturday evening by the Union’s deputy spokesperson, Nepha Wangsa.
The AAPSU while once again strongly endorsing the SUN agitation as genuine and legitimate termed the development as unfortunate and utter negligence by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
‘Non responsive attitude on the Ministry’s part has ultimately arrived at this standoff,’ the union said in a release asserting that dilly dallying will result in more rigorous movement after the first phase.
AAPSU has already submitted a memorandum in this regard to MHRD Minister Prakash Javadekar twice last year in the month of May and September 2017.
