ITANAGAR, Nov 18:The All Arunachal Pradesh students’ Union (AAPSU) held an executive meeting Saturday at NEFA Club Building to draw opinions on the Chakma and Hajong refugee electoral enrolment, Educational and Health survey by District Students’ Unions and enhancement of retirement age of government employees from 58 to 60 years.  The meeting was presided over by General Secretary AAPSU, Tobom Dai, who also highlighted the aims and objectives of the meeting. The house present unanimously passed several resolutions.

The House appointed Dai, as the Chairman on vexed Chakma and Hajong issue. It felt that though the issue is going in the right track but urgency to expedite the issue needs utmost importance. The house also felt that the state government has to rectify the resolution passed in the all party meeting and to immediately constitute the committees as discussed in the meeting.

The meeting also resolved to serve an ultimatum to the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in regards to enhancement of retirement age with time of not more than 15 days.

In connection to the recent Election Commission order to have intensive summary electoral enrolment revision for sake of Chakmas and Hajongs in Arunachal Pradesh, the union has decided to visit refugee affected areas particularly Diyun, Kokila, Bordumsa, Miao etc. before December end.

Moreover, December 10 next has been set as the new deadline for Education and Health survey 2017 carried out by AAPSU through different DSUs.
