PASIGHAT, Mar 11: 56 houses with a strength of around 400 individual voters of INC joined BJP at Yagrung village, some 14 KM from here on Saturday evening.
The merger programme was held under the Chairmanship of Mandal President, Obit Tamuk and Yagrung village Shakti Kendra President, Jono Tali which was attended by Pasighat East MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary for Disaster Management, Kaling Moyong among others.
Of the 56 houses, 54 households are from Yagrung, 4 from Sibut and 2 from Tekang villages which are closely settled.
Welcoming the new members, MLA Kaling Moyong appealed members of the BJP not to differentiate among old and new members. Chief Councillor, Kaling Doruk also spoke and urged the party workers to be united and be the part of the development process.
