ITANAGAR, Oct 15: Day long District Level Yuva Utsav (Youth Festival) 2022 was held today at the DK Convention Hall, Itanagar organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Itanagar, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI.
The main objective of the programme is to celebrate the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” in the spirit of Yuva Shakti and to form a fraternity of young artists, writers, photographers and orators of the country under the mentorship of experts.
Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar, Talo Potom graced the event as the Chief Guest while Gomar Basar, Asst. Registrar (first National Youth Awardee from Arunachal Pradesh) was the Guest of Honour and Ms. Johny Mangkhiya, 3rd Dan, Black Belt in Karate was the 'Youth Icon' of the programme.
The day’s programme commenced with a welcome address from Chunthuingam Dangmei, DYO, NYK Itanagar.   Young Writers Camp-Poem, Young artists Camp-Painting, Mobile Photography, Declamation Contest and Cultural fest were among the competition held during the day long programme. After the competition, certificates along with prizes were distributed among the winners of all the contests.
In his keynote address, Chief Guest Talo Potom thanked Nehru Yuva Kendra, Itanagar for organizing the event and creating a platform for young people. He then mentioned that every youth has to take social responsibility of carrying the community and the state forward, if the country has to transform.
While interacting with the youths during Yuva Samvaad, Basar added, young people must think as a global citizen in this modern times and encouraged them to move out of the state and find opportunities in various fields.
ZIRO: District Level Yuva Utsav 2022 was organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Lower Subansiri  at Abotani hall ziro. Minister of Agriculture, horticulture etc Tage Taki graced the event as Chief Guest alongwith DC Lower Subansiri Bamin Nime and Deputy SP Ojin Lego.
The guests  interacted with all the students   and answered their questions and gave suggestions for the betterment of their future. Prize Money was given in all the competitive events.   
All the winners will participate in the State Level Yuva Utsav 2022 to be conducted in Itanagar and further on at National Level Yuva Utsav 2022 in Delhi.
