ITANAGAR, Jul 18:  Secretary Tourism Swapnil Naik launched the YUVA Tourism Club here today in the presence of Tourism officials, Tour Operators and students.
Speaking to the media, Naik informed that the YUVA Tourism Club has emerged as a vibrant initiative by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
The primary objective of the YUVA Tourism Club is to nurture and develop young ambassadors who will serve as torchbearers of Indian tourism. By introducing them to the vast potential of tourism in India, the initiative seeks to instill in them a deep appreciation for our cultural heritage and foster a genuine passion for the field.
These enthusiastic ambassadors may eventually pursue careers in tourism, becoming local tourist guides, homestay operators, hoteliers, or tour operators, thus contributing to the realization of the  Prime Minister's vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India), he added.
Participation in YUVA Tourism Clubs offers numerous benefits, extending beyond tourism-related skills. The club activities facilitate the development of essential soft skills such as teamwork, management, and leadership. Moreover, these young ambassadors are encouraged to adopt responsible tourism practices and prioritize sustainable tourism, instilling a sense of environmental consciousness.
Arunachal Pradesh, known for its breathtaking natural beauty, diverse culture, and unique traditions, has embraced the YUVA Tourism Club initiative wholeheartedly, he added.
