PASIGHAT, May 31:    More than 500 youths attending the 33rd Annual Youth Conference of Adi Baptist Council (ABC) which is currently underway here at Baptist Church, Mirbuk benefitted from motivational and career talks delivered by eminent personalities as speakers like MLA Borduria,Wanglin Lowangdong, DDSE Pasighat Jongge Yirang and Founding Editor of Eastern Sentinel newspaper, Jarpum Gamlin.

Earlier on May 29, former Minister Wanglin Lowangdong advised the youths to be prosperous, God fearing and choose the right path in life without getting diverted toward drugs and IMFL. Lowangdong also took reference of ABK Women Wing and Women Against Social Evils who are fighting against drug and IMFL menace in East Siang. “Such meaningful youth conference shouldn’t only be confined in a particular place like Pasighat, but same should be organized in other areas and places across Arunachal Pradesh while involving non-Christians too,” he added.

 DDSE Pasighat, Jongge Yirang felicitated the achievers of 12th and APJEE successful candidates on May 30th and motivated the youths to keep their career options open even while choosing vocational courses.

On Wednesday, speaking to thunderous applause of hundreds of youth, Founding Editor of Eastern Sentinel, Jarpum Gamlin, presented a very selective mantra for successful career path today.

Taking the reference of renowned Footballer, Gumpe Rime, Gamlin urged the youths to choose sports as well. Hinting that Environmental Studies would assume importance and be a better career option in coming years, he urged the youths to opt for it and keep their options open. He also stressed on contributing something back to society.
