ITANAGAR, Apr 29: The All Arunachal Pradesh Youth Organization (AAPYO) has urged the state government not to transfer the incumbent Deputy Commissioner of Itanagar, Talo Potom, citing his dedicated service and people-centric governance. In a formal representation submitted to the Chief Secretary, AAPYO expressed concern that certain groups were pushing for the DC’s transfer to serve their own personal interests.
Highlighting his contributions, AAPYO stated that Talo Potom has played a crucial role in addressing several key civic and administrative challenges in the capital region. His efforts in carrying out eviction drives along the Right of Way for the four-lane highway project, curbing unregulated earth-cutting activities, and ensuring transparent and fair administration were especially noted.
The AAPYO emphasized that the present DC has earned the trust and respect of the public through proactive leadership and commitment to law and order. They appealed to the state authorities to allow him to continue his work uninterrupted for the greater interest of the citizens of Itanagar.
