ITANAGAR, Feb 27: The All Adi Youth Association (AAYA) has urged the Pan-Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC) to reconsider its demand for “null and void” of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Examination (APPSCE) since 2014.
Expressing opposition to the PAJSC’s demand for declaring null and void all exams conducted by the commission since 2014, AAYA President Tanam Tagu on Monday appealed to the state government to “roll back the decision to recommend the demand for null and void to the commission for consideration”.
“The demand for null and void will do injustice to all genuine candidates who have cleared APPSCE with hard work, and the government’s consideration of the demand and forwarding the same to the APPSC is not justified when there is an ongoing investigation," he said, while addressing a press conference at the Arunachal Press Club here today.
He said the decision for null and void will deprive the basic fundamental rights of innocent government employees and officers. "The state government should take all possible measures to expedite the investigation, so as to root out all those people involved in the APPSCE paper-leak scam," he added.
Tagu also appealed to the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU), All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU), and PAJSC to join hands to fight against corruption instead of having contradictory opinions.
“Maybe, PAJSC did not demand the null & void of the exams intentionally; it will affect the genuine candidates and their families," Tagu said adding "Because of someone’s foul play, entire genuine candidates now working for the state government should not be punished."
