ITANAGAR, May 20: The Jully Valley Youth Welfare Association (JVYWA) in a representation to the Chief Engineer PWD Western Zone has called attention to the bad road condition in Jollang Panchayat and served a one month ultimatum seeking immediate repair of the said stretch.
The association demanded the PWD CD-B to immediately repair the roads , fillup potholes from Ganga to Papu Nallah via Jollang stretch road within one month time period. It further threatened to resort to 12-hour 'chakka bandh' in Jollang Panchayat if its demands are not met.
The JVYWA said that local residents are facing severe difficulties in transportation due to the bad road and several accidents have occured leading to injuries and death on the road stretch in the past few months. It further flagged the lack of appropriate drainage system which results in overflow during rainy season.
