DAPORIJO, May 4: MLA Daporijo, Dikto Yekar accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, AK Singh along with HoDs on Thursday carried whirlwind tour of Daporijo and reviewed the progress of various schemes and ongoing projects.

The team inspected ongoing construction of Mini Secretariat building, Out-door Stadium being constructed by Urban Development Department, Water Treatment Plant, CC pavement roads within the township etc.

During the tour, Yekar exhorted the executing team of mini secretariat to complete the construction work on mission and complete it within two years. He also issued order to concern department to expedite the work of Outdoor Stadium and ensure its completion before August 15 next.

While inspecting the progress of Water Treatment Plant at Daporijo being constructed by the department of Public Health and Engineering and Water Supply, Yekar expressed satisfaction over the progress and opined that with the completion and commissioning of the project, the entire Daporijo Township will get safe drinking water supply.

Further the team also visited Government Higher Secondary School Daporijo and Polo colony in connection with verification of CC Pavement, during which the MLA reviewed progress of the construction of boundary wall and assured the school authority to develop the infrastructure of the schools.
