TEZU, Apr 27: Arunachal Pradesh Veterinarian's Association(APVA) Tezu unit in collaboration with Deptt.of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary today celebrated World Veterinary Day (WVD) at District Veterinary Hospital Tezu. The theme for this year's WVD celebration is *Veterinarians are essential health workers*. 
APVA unit of Lohit organised livestock awareness camp and free Anti Rabies vaccination in pets. Since the theme of this year's WVD celebration is related to health workers, Medicos of the Zonal Hospital Tezu were invited to the programme to remind and reiterate efforts to shoulder responsibility in fighting some of the dreaded diseases that are often transmitted through animals to humans.

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Upper Siang District, Yingkiong observed World Veterinary Day 2024 today at Yingkiong with the theme “Veterinarians are essential health workers,” emphasizing their crucial role in healthcare.
DVO Dr.Emo Lego alongwith with his team of doctors and staff created awareness on animal health among pet lovers and availability of lifesaving services at all veterinary centres in district. 
To mark the day, free ARV ( Anti Rabies Vaccine) vaccination camp was organised for dogs and cats at District Veterinary Hospital, Yingkiong. Many pet owners benefited from the camp. (DIPRO)
