Doimukh,  Aug 1: World Breastfeeding Week starting from August 1 to 7 next was launched by SDO Doimukh, Tana Yaho Nabam today in presence of renowned social activist Yami Leij, DMO Dr.Komling Perme and DRCHO Dr. Neyang Nitik at District Hospital, Doimukh on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDO said that it is the responsibility of the mothers to ensure breastfeeding for wellbeing of their children and requested all attending mothers to follow the instructions of health workers.
Yami Leij while sharing her experiences requested the government and private employers to address the security of the working nursing mothers at their work place.
Earlier the DMO explained the importance of breastfeeding. Dr.Lobsang Chuki MO i/c District Hospital Doimukh also spoke on the occasion. DIPRO
