Ziro, Aug 9: The State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR), in collaboration with the District Administration, Lower Subansiri organised a Two-Day District Level Workshop on Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI)-2.0 in Ziro on August 8-9.
The program was inaugurated on August 8 in the presence of the Oli Perme, Deputy Commissioner-Cum-Chairperson of DLMC, Hage Tarung, ADC-Cum-DPDO, Pura Dollo, Zilla Parishad Chairperson and other dignitaries. The workshop aimed to familiarize officials, PRI members, and stakeholders with the revised framework of PAI, its operational procedures, and its role in evidence-based planning at the Gram Panchayat level.
The first day of the workshop featured sessions on the Policy Framework for Evidence-Based Planning, the Baseline Report of PAI Version 1.0 and Road Map for Version 2.0, and Key Learnings from National and State Experiences. Tamar Baki, Faculty cum Course Coordinator PAI 2.0 from SIRD&PR shared insights on challenges and strategies for effective PAI implementation. Participants were also briefed on the Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) for the PAI portal and the GP-wise scorecard analysis.
The second day comprised hands-on group work with Line Department Data Points and exercises on handling the PAI portal for data entry, configuration, and validation. 
Discussions covered inter-departmental collaboration, data collection challenges, strategies for dissemination of PAI results, and timelines for completing the PAI-2.0 process.
The workshop concluded with a validation session and onboarding of participants into the PAI framework, reinforcing the importance of robust data for improving governance at the grassroots level.
The workshop was effectively coordinated by Hage Tarung, ADC Hq.-cum-DPDO, who is the Chairperson of the District Level Data Validation Team (DDVT) of Lower Subansiri District, has extended full support in mobilizing departments and participants. The event saw active participation from 15 Heads of Departments (HoDs), including Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Health, PHED, and APEDA, among others. In total, around 50 participants attended the training program.
Among others, CO Mide Bage, ZPMs, PRI members and officials from SIRD&PR have participated in the workshop.
