ITANAGAR, Mar 17: A one-day state level sensitization, orientation cum consultation workshop on POCSO Tracking Portal, Out of School Portal, GHAR Portal & MASI App was organized at the Art of Living Ashram, Jully Basti, Itanagar on Friday. The programme was conducted by the National Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) in collaboration with Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR) and was facilitated by the Seva Bharati Purbanchal (SBP). Advocate Anuj Saluja, Consultant Legal Division of NCPCR highlighted the development of portals and gave a brief about their usage in various fields.
Niri Chongrowju, Member (i/c Chairperson), APSCPCR spoke about the rights of a child and the need to protect them while also highlighting the work done by the Commission.
Tai Tagak, Advisor to Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh who was also present highlighted the importance of educating a child so that they become an asset to society. Morals should also be taught to children during their learning years so that criminal activity in future is curtailed, he said.
During the technical session, IT in-charge of NCPCR presented various digital portals developed by the NCPCR to ensure timely, efficient and seamless monitoring and tracking of various data related to violations and deprivation of child rights.
The workshop was attended by representatives from CCI OWA & Missionary of Charity Naharlagun, Childline Itanagar, CWCs, DCPUs & DDSEs from various districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
