Anini, Aug 10: The Biodiversity & Tourism Management Society (BTMS) of Anini, in collaboration with the Department of Panchayati Raj, successfully organised a comprehensive two-day workshop for aspiring tour guides on August 9-10.
The workshop commenced with an exploration of the notable attractions in Mathu Valley on the first day, followed by an extensive examination of the picturesque Dri Valley on the second day. This initiative was designed to equip participants with indispensable practical skills and knowledge essential for effective tourism guidance. Topics addressed included itinerary planning, communication techniques, customer service excellence, cultural interpretation, emergency response strategies, and sustainable tourism practices. The overarching objective was to empower individuals to succeed in their careers as tour guides within the crucial tourism sector of Dibang Valley. A total of 45 motivated young individuals attended this significant workshop.
The guided tour was proficiently led by Theko Tayu, ZPC-cum-Chairperson of BTMS, along with distinguished members Aito Miwu, Ganga Mili, and Bachan Mihu, ensuring a rich and informative experience for all participants
