ROING, Mar 11:  Renowned Preacher, Swami Sri Sri Anu while attending the International Women Day Celebration at Wakro has exhorted women not to be misled by concept of women empowerment and guided them rather to be established in reality that they are the source of strength, peace, prosperity and harmony.

Swamiji also called upon the womenfolk saying that mothers must build and maintain harmony instead of creating hostility.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner, Danish Ashraf appreciated the Apnes and KGBV Wakro girls for the excellent performances of cultural shows on the women's day.

Ashraf also thanked the saint for choosing to bless and help the cause of education and social upliftment in Lohit. Not many will choose to travel to, leave alone consider to serve in these remote areas with mostly inhospitable terrain, unfriendly weather conditions and numerous challenges, added the DC while thanking the saint for the compassion.

Host of social and corporate leaders also attended the function and interacted with the dignitaries and members of the general public.
