NAHARLAGUN, May 5: With a tearful adieu, the mortal remains of whistleblower Gyamar Padang was laid to rest today in a solemn ceremony attended by family, friends,well-wishers and members of the Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC). 
Padang,  had blown the whistle on the widespread corruption (Cash for Job scam) within the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). His brave act of speaking out against corruption had exposed several high-profile officials and led to public outcry.
The news of Padang's death had shocked the state, and many had taken to social media to express their grief.
At the funeral, Padang's family and friends remembered him as a brave and principled man who had dedicated his life to fighting corruption and injustice.
As Padang was laid to rest, his legacy as a whistleblower and a fighter for justice was cemented in the annals of history. His death was a tragic loss, but his spirit will continue to inspire others to speak out against corruption and stand up for what was right.
Besides family members and friends, MLA Techi Kaso, Mayor Tamme Phassang and other dignitaries attended the last rites.
