Aalo, Apr 13: The West Siang District police conducted flag march today at Aalo township led by West Siang Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Poswal. 
Before flag march police observer Rahul Kakati briefed the police officers and personnel and urged the police personnel to maintain neutrality and remain vigilant during the simultaneous elections. 
“Taking care of EVM during election till counting of votes is your responsible,” he said. Further he urged the police personnel not to involve in any political activities and cautioned that if found guilty stringent action will be initiated against the erring police personnel. The observer also briefed them the roles and responsible of police during election.
SP Abhimanyu Poswal briefed the police personnel to be vigilant. He urged them to check every vehicle and individual properly so that suspected materials should not be carried in vehicles. Every voter must be checked before entering the polling booth, he said. SP strongly passed the message to the police to be dutiful and vigilant during election. The SP further appealed to all the contesting candidates and public of West Siang to cooperate for successful conduct of the ensuing simultaneous election without any violence.
During the flag march Officers and Police personnel from APP, IRBn, APPBn, ITBP, Sector Magistrate, Zonal Magistrate and Dy.SP Moge Bole were present.
Postal Ballot vote casting of officers and officials of West Siang began on April 12 and will end on the 14th at Govt Middle School Aalo. The Postal ballot voting is being personally monitored by DEO West SiangMamu Hage, IAS, ROs, AROs of 27 Liromoba ST A/C, 30 Aalo West ST A/C, 31 Aalo East ST A/C.
During the second day thousand turned out to cast their postal ballots.
In West Siang there has been no reports of any poll related violence.
