AALO, Jul 8: Bagra Circle in West Siang will soon have a strengthened Anganwadi programme, under a joint effort by the Circle administration, Education Department and the Women and Child Development (WCD) department. A joint meeting in this regard was held by Circle Officer Asunam Perme with stakeholders to improve the pre-primary education in the circle. Plan was strategised to converge Anganwadi centres with the primary schools of the Bagra Circle. It initiative aims to improve Pre-primary school education and also to make non-functional Anganwadi centres vibrant and functional.
After threadbare discussion, the house unanimously decided that the head teachers and teacher in-charge shall be supporting the Anganwadi workers and helpers to improve their performance; a proposal for training of Anganwadi staff was placed and the new academic session will start from August 2023.
Members present were DDSE West Siang Yidak Angu, CDPO Cum DD In-charge, Bahi Koyu, Coordinator Pedagogy/Pre-Primary School Gumin Kamki, BEO Henli Bagra, Supervisor, CDPO, Aalo West, as well as head teachers of various schools of the circle.
