AALO, May 23: The District Disaster Management Authority Meeting of West Siang was conducted today.
Deputy Commissioner West Siang Penga Tato while chairing the meeting 
urged all the line departments to be prepared during the monsoon season. Rice and domestic gas stock must be kept available; PHED, Power and PWD departments are to be proactive
during the monsoon season as natural calamities are unpredictable, he said.
Army, ITBP and BRTF informed the DDMA that they are ready to spare their resources during the
time of need.
Tumpe Ete, Zila Chairperson Cum Co- Chairman DDMA requested all the nodal officers to be properly equipped well in advance during the Monsoon season. He also request the District
Administration to take necessary steps to check the stray animals especially cows in the township area
which leads to vehicular accidents.
DDMO West Siang, Nima Dorjee also spoke at the meeting.
