ITANAGAR, Aug 3:  The Higya Welfare Society (HWS) has urged the state government to fulfill the last wish of whistleblower Gyamar Padang.
Speaking to the media, President HWS, Gyamar Kuba said that in a remarkable act of bravery and honesty, late Gyamar Padang, who exposed the malpractices within the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), earned widespread recognition and appreciation from the people of the State. Despite his untimely demise on 3rd May earlier this year, his selfless actions have left a lasting impact on the future generation.
Gyamar Padang, an active advocate for transparency and integrity, fearlessly took on the APPSC issue, which had been plaguing the State for an extended period. His dedication to the cause and his relentless pursuit of justice garnered immense respect from all quarters, added Kuba.
The Higya Welfare Society further emphasized that late Padang's final wish was for the construction of "Statue of Honesty," signifying his commitment to truth and integrity. The Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC) team, to whom he conveyed his wish, has taken up the matter, and the Higya Welfare Society appeals to the State Government to consider the demand for recognizing Gyamar Padang as a whistleblower and granting permission for the statue's construction, he added.
The Society further appealed for peaceful and non-violent handling of any issues related to late Gyamar Padang and encouraged all stakeholders to collaborate and work towards an amicable solution to streamline and resolve the APPSC fiasco.
 "The objective is to eliminate corruption and ensure a fair and transparent system for aspirants," Kuba added.
