ITANAGAR, Jun 2:Water supply to major part of Itanagar is likely to be affected due to breakdown of main pipeline near Poma Village.
The main pipeline of 450 MM has been disrupted due to heavy downpour and landslide at around 3 KM from Poma Village this morning. There shall be no water supply through Poma based Water Treatment plant for next two days, said PHE SE Tayum Tok.
A team led by AE (PHE) Debia Padang is at the job and supervising the restoration works. Meanwhile Water tankers of the PHE department will be pressed into service to ease water supply shortages.
