Hayuliang independent ADC headquarters of Anjaw district has been reeling under severe water crisis for the last 15 days. The Public Health & Engineering Department has miserably failed to meet up the drinking water needs of the township.   

According to the Kala Bazaar Welfare Committee Hayuliang, the business community and other general public filed a complaint letter to the ADC office on September 10 last, ventilating their grievances.

“Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer hardly remain in station. The water pipelines are without maintenance and are completely abandoned by the department after the heavy rains last month,” said a citizen.
